North Bay Animal Services To Mark 5-Year Anniversary In Petaluma

The community is invited to an open house Saturday to help celebrate the shelter's milestone.

PETALUMA, CA — North Bay Animal Services is celebrating its five-year anniversary in Petaluma.

To mark the occasion, an open house is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Petaluma shelter at 840 Hopper St. The celebration will feature exotic animals such as camels, as well as dogs and cats from the shelter. Food will be offered along with games for kids and prizes.

Aug 1. marked "five wonderful years of North Bay Animal Services managing the community's animal shelter," the nonprofit, no-kill organization posted on its Facebook page. "We hope you will celebrate with us and the animals Saturday."

The mission of North Bay Animal Services is to provide comprehensive animal services to the North Bay community that result in fewer homeless animals, greater pet retention, and happier families.

Executive Director Mark Scott, who co-founded the organization, told Patch he is grateful for the community's heart and its support over the last five years.
