UPDATED: Petaluma Chiropractor Goes Missing Before Molestation Trial Verdict

Santa Rosa chiropractor Daryoush 'Darius' Bunyad failed to show Thursday to hear the verdict in his sexual battery and molestation trial.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A Sonoma County Superior Court jury reached a guilty verdict Thursday afternoon on 14 of 15 counts at Santa Rosa chiropractor Darius Bunyad's sexual battery and molestation trial, however the defendant was nowhere to be found.

Bunyad, 36, of Petaluma, was ordered to appear Thursday morning, but did not show up and a no-bail warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was charged with nine felony counts of battery by fraud for sexual gratification and six misdemeanor counts of annoying or molesting underage female employees.

Bunyad was accused of asking female patients to remove their undergarments during treatments they received at Health Performance Chiropractic at 208 E. St. in Santa Rosa, and allegedly touching the girls’ bare breasts and making explicit comments.

The offenses occurred between Aug. 27, 2012, and Nov. 15, 2015.
