Petaluma Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Possessing Child Pornography
After receiving a tip, officers issued a search warrant at a man's home that spurred his arrest.
PETALUMA, CA — A man was arrested after he was accused of possessing pornography that included a minor under the age of 18, police said.
Police said they received a tip that a man identified as Gabriel Oates had illegal, obscene images. Officers pulled Oates over at 2:14 p.m. on Oct. 8 as he was driving on Kenilworth Drive, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
Officers said they had probable cause that showed Oates had illegal and obscene material.

Oates was arrested and booked at the Sonoma County Jail for the warrant of his home and on suspicion of possessing images/data, etc. of persons under 18 years of age engaging in or simulating sexual conduct, Petaluma police said.
