Petaluma Man Faces DUI After Yard Bust
A car crashes in the yard of a house near Baywood and South McDowell; the owner comes outside with a gun and holds the driver for police.

PETALUMA - A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of DUI following a traffic crash in Petaluma.
Ryan Wilbur, 31, of Petaluma, was driving his vehicle in a reckless manner in the area of Baywood Drive and South McDowell Boulevard around 7:43 p.m. when he crashed into two parked vehicles and ended up in the yard of a residence, according to Petaluma police.
There were no reported injuries in the crash.

Following the accident, the occupant of the residence came outside with a firearm and held Wilbur at gunpoint until police arrived, police said.
The occupant told police he felt Wilbur was trying to drive at him, so he ordered Wilbur to stop and exit the vehicle.

Police said Wilbur showed signs of being intoxicated and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .40, five times the legal limit to drive.
