Petaluma Man Goes Missing and is Found by Police

Petaluma police have located a missing man who has a brain injury that makes him easily confused and unable to handle normal daily functions.

John Wirth, 49, who was last seen at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, was spotted on his bicycle a few miles outside of Petaluma and returned home, according to Sgt. Andrew Urton.

Wirth suffered a brain injury several years ago in a motorcycle accident and becomes easily confused, Urton said.

He has been reported missing in the past and been found as far away as Fairfield, Napa and Benicia.
