North Bay Mom Pleads Guilty In Son's Overdose Death
Danielle Faletto, 35, also admitted having two prior violent or serious felony strikes related to two robberies.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Petaluma woman whose teenage son died in April of an overdose of fentanyl pleaded guilty to child endangerment this morning in Sonoma County Superior Court. Danielle Faletto, 35, also admitted having two prior violent or serious felony strikes related to two robberies in May 2017. She faces 12 years in prison when she is sentenced on Aug. 21.
Faletto's 16-year-old son was found unconscious April 16 at a residence on Vallejo Street in Petaluma. He was taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from an overdose of Xanax containing
fentanyl, a synthetic opioid more powerful than morphine or heroin.
Petaluma police arrested Faletto and she was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of manslaughter and child endangerment. She was eventually charged by prosecutors with one felony count of child
endangerment.
