Sonoma County Gets $3.25M Boost For Post-Wildfires Job Training
The California Employment Development Department provided the emergency funds to put 700 people back to work.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Sonoma County Workforce Development Board has received $3.25 million to help hundreds of people return to work after the October wildfires. The California Employment Development Department provided the emergency funds to put 700 people back to work through Sonoma County Job Link.
The funding will support training for jobs with sustainable wages and addresses the fires' destruction of thousands of homes and businesses in the hospitality industry, retail and offices of self-employed businesses.
The employment will focus on education and training in construction, healthcare, administrative support, retail and sales.
