Sonoma County Voters Approve Bond Measures

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Sonoma County voters passed three bond measures for facility improvements in three school districts Tuesday, according to complete unofficial election results. All three measures needed 55 percent approval. Nearly 63 percent of voters have passed Measure A, a $91-million bond issue in the West Sonoma County Union High School District. The money will be used to replace leaky roofs, modernize, construct or renovate classrooms, restrooms and school facilities. None of the bond revenue will go toward salaries, according to the district.

Voters passed Measure B, a $6 million bond issue in the Alexander Valley Union School District for health safety, classrooms, restrooms and school facilities improvements and the and replacement of deteriorated
plumbing systems. The district said no revenue will go toward salaries.

Measure B received 60.6 percent with all precincts reporting.

Measure C, a $9.6 million bond issue in the Harmony Union School District for improvements to the facilities of the Harmony and Salmon Creek schools, passed with 63.2 percent approval.

Voters in the Coast Life Support District in Mendocino and Sonoma counties easily passed Measure E, a four-year renewal of the appropriations limit in the district that was last increased in 2012. The special tax money will be used for ambulance services.

Measure E needed majority approval and received 93 percent with all precincts reporting.
