FasTrak Scam Warning: Don't Fall For This
Customers have reported texts that appear to notify them of a toll bill, pointing them to fraudulent payment websites.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Scammers sending text messages appearing to be from FasTrak are targeting Bay Area residents, prompting a warning from the Sonoma County District Attorney.
According to the DA's office, customers have reported recent text messages notifying them of tolls due, containing links pointing them to fraudulent websites to pay.
"The websites provided are scams and are not related to FasTrak," the DA's office wrote in a news release. "If you receive such a text please do not click on the link. FasTrak does not request payment by text with a link to a website."
