House Fire on Harbord Drive Quickly Controlled
The fire, about a long block outside Piedmont's city limits, was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters controlled a house fire in the Oakland Hills near Piedmont Monday afternoon, fire officials said.
The fire on the second floor of a two-story house at 5861 Harbord Drive (south of Moraga Avenue and west of Hwy. 13) was reported shortly after 5 p.m., according to the fire department.
A one-alarm response was called and the fire department announced the fire was under control about 20 minutes later.
