Joseph Naso Verbally Attacks Lawyers as Jury Weighs Death Penalty for 4 Murders
Naso and his family lived in Piedmont during the 1970s.

Convicted serial killer Joseph Naso called attorneys "whores" and criticized a prosecutor's hairstyle Wednesday as a Marin County jury weighed the death penalty for the 79-year-old former Piedmont resident, according to an article on the Marin Independent Journal website.
Naso also asked jurors not to sentence him to death and said he cares deeply about people, the Independent Journal reports.
The death penalty phase of the trial is expected to last several weeks, with the prosecution planning to present evidence linking Naso to additional rapes and murders beyond those considered in the trial's first phase, the article says.
Naso was convicted Aug. 20 of killing Roxene Roggasch, 18, of Oakland, and Carmen Colon, a 22-year-old East Bay resident.
Roggasch was found dead off of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard west of Fairfax on Jan. 11, 1977.
Colon's body was found near Carquinez Scenic Drive in Port Costa in Contra Costa County on Aug. 15, 1978.
Naso, a former commercial photographer, was also found guilty of the murders of Pamela Parsons, 38, and Tracy Tafoya, 31, whose bodies were found in Yuba County in September 1993 and August 1994, respectively.
