Man Fatally Shot Sunday was 37-Year-Old Oakland Resident
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

OAKLAND, CA — A man who was fatally shot in East Oakland on Sunday evening has been identified as a 37-year-old Oakland resident, but police aren't yet releasing his name pending notification of his next of kin.
Officers who responded at 7:09 p.m. to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Bancroft and 55th avenues found the man lying in the street. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No information has been released about a suspect or possible motive in the shooting.
