Oakland City Hall, Libraries Closed Monday, But No Free Parking
Oakland city offices will close Monday for Admission Day.

The City of Oakland administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 9, in observance of the California Admission Day holiday, according to a city press release.
The Main Library and all branches will be closed on Monday.
Normal parking enforcement throughout the City for all violations will occur on Monday, Sept. 9.
Monday will be a regular work day for Piedmont city employees, with no closures scheduled.
Both Piedmont and Oakland public schools will be in session on Monday.
Branch libraries will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 10, but the Main Library will be open.
Admission Day commemorates California's admission into the United States as the 31st state in 1850.
