Oakland/Emeryville Border Fire: 5-Alarm Blaze On San Pablo Ave. Contained

The fire on the border of Oakland and Emeryville was first reported around 5:30 a.m.

OAKLAND, CA —A five-alarm fire that broke out early Saturday morning in Oakland has been contained, Alameda County fire officials said, though embers from the fire could have reached a nearby house, causing it to catch fire.

Fire officials are also now concerned about a huge construction crane in the area.

The five-alarm fire was first reported at about 5:30 a.m. at 3800 San Pablo Ave. No one has been injured, but the American Red Cross has responded to help residents in the area who have evacuated, according to fire officials. Firefighters from the Oakland, Emeryville and Alameda County fire departments worked to extinguish the fire.

The fire investigation will led by the Alameda County Fire Department with the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to the Alameda Fire Department.
