Missing Hiker Found After Being Stranded on Iron Mountain
Deputies set up a command post at a trail head on the east side of Highway 67 at Poway Road for Luis Ocampo.
A 22-year-old hiker who was reported missing by his family has been found safe near Iron Mountain by authorities, Channel 10News reported.
According to authorities, the man, Luis Ocampo, went hiking Tuesday and stopped answering his cell phone in the afternoon. His vehicle was found at the trail head near Iron Mountain, 10News said.
Local news outlets reported rescue teams were in the process of getting Ocampo down from the mountain as of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The rescue comes nearly two weeks after a body was found at the Blue Sky Ecological Preserve as part of a search effort for a missing 55-year-old man.

Richard Carter's vehicle was found at Blue Sky, where it had been parked for two days.
Officials have not yet identified the body found at Blue Sky.
