National Night Out Event Slated Tuesday In Poway
Sheriff's stations and substations have scheduled family-friendly community events across San Diego County to take a stand against crime.

POWAY, CA — The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is celebrating National Night Out Tuesday in communities across the county, including in Poway.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes law enforcement and community partnership and neighborhood camaraderie. Sheriff's stations and substations have planned family-friendly community events to take a stand against crime.
Attendees will have opportunities to meet sheriff's deputes and members of the department's specialized and volunteer units such as the sheriff's bomb/arson unit, K-9 unit and the search and rescue unit. Crime prevention specialists will also share safety tips.

These are the participating sheriff's department events:
- Alpine Station: 5-7 p.m., Alpine Women's Club, 2156 Alpine Blvd.
- Fallbrook Substation: 5-7 p.m., Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, 111 S. Main St. (parking lot)
- Imperial Beach Substation: 5-7:30 p.m., Veterans Park, 1075 8th St.
- Lemon Grove Substation: 5-8 p.m., Treganza Park, 3200 Main St.
- North Coastal Station: 3-6 p.m., Encinitas Community Park, 425 Santa Fe Drive
- Poway Station: 4-7 p.m., Poway Sheriff's Station, 13100 Bowron Road
- Ramona Substation: 5-7 p.m., Ramona Library, 1275 Main St.
- Rancho San Diego Station: 4-7 p.m., Hillsdale Middle School, 1301 E. Brabham St. (field)
- San Marcos Station: 5-7 p.m., San Marcos Sheriff's Station, 182 Santar Place
- Santee Station and Lakeside Substation: 5-7 p.m., Santee Trolley Square, 9888 Mission Gorge
- Valley Center Substation: 4:30-6:30 p.m., Valley Center Library, 29200 Cole Grade Road
- Vista Station: 4-6 p.m., Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive
