Poway Allergy Sufferers Can Breathe a Little Easier This Year
The San Diego metro area slightly improved in a national ranking of the worst cities for allergy sufferers.

The San Diego metropolitan area dropped a spot in a national ranking of cities—but this time it's a good thing.
In a new ranking of the 100 Fall Allergy Capitals by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation, the region came in at No. 91, making the area a pretty good place for sniffly San Diegans to call home. Last year, San Diego was No. 90.
According to the rankings, which were sponsored by nasal spray Dymista, San Diego has an average pollen score and above average scores for medicine utilization and board certified allergists per patient. Ragweed pollen and outdoor mold are expected to be the key problems this fall, according to USA Today.
The worst city for allergy sufferers this fall is Wichita, KS, which has lots of pollen and high allergy medicine use. Last year's No.1—Louisville, KY—improved to No. 4.
