
A Poway man who died after his motorcycle crashed on Interstate 5 in the Camp Pendleton area was identified Saturday. James Kelly Worley, 49, was killed after he was ejected from the motorcycle he was operating, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Worley was northbound around 6 a.m. when a 2004 Nissan 350Z headed in the same direction drifted into Worley’s path, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The car collided with Worley’s Harley-Davidson and he was thrown from the motorcycle just south of Basilone Road.
Medical personnel performed resuscitative efforts, but Worley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, 23-year-old Eugene McCulloch of Camp Pendleton, was traveling about 70 mph when his vehicle drifted to the left and he lost control as overcorrected to the right, Highway Patrol Officer Chris Parent said.
