Thunderstorms, Monsoonal Rain in the Forecast
A wave of monsoonal moisture will move into Southern California Thursday, forecasters said.

A wave of monsoonal moisture will move into Southern California Thursday, likely producing slow-moving thunderstorms and very heavy rainfall in San Diego County, meteorologists said.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the mountains and deserts from noon to this evening, saying the heavy rainfall could cause mud slides and debris to flow in areas denuded by wildfire.
"Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation," the agency said in an advisory. "Have a plan of action ready to move to higher ground."
