5 Things: West Nile Virus, Cheap Car Insurance & The Bachelor
See which cars are cheapest to insure, how West Nile Virus is spread and how RB's Casa de las Campanas is celebrating 25 years.

Here's what you need to know in Rancho Bernardo for Friday, July 26:
- Mosquito No-Nos: Dead crows infected with the West Nile Virus were found in Ramona and Carlsbad this week. People usually get the virus after they're bitten by mosquitoes that have been feeding on infected birds. There are many things you can do to protect yourself, such as wearing long sleeves and bug spray. See what else you can do here.
- One More Time: We hate getting stuck in traffic as much as anyone so we don't want you to forget that Interstate 15 south of RB is expected to be awful this weekend. The I-15 southbound lanes will be closed from SR-56/Ted Williams Parkway to Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard/Poway Road from Saturday night to Monday morning.
- Cupid's Calling: ABC's The Bachelor wants to hook you up. The show has an open casting call in San Diego from 5-9 tonight. Details here.
- Full Coverage, Empty Wallet?: Skimping on car insurance typically only seems like a good idea until about five seconds before you rear-end someone. A better idea might be buying a cheaper car to insure. Mercury Insurance released a list of the 10 cheapest vehicles to provide full coverage and the Honda Odyssey minivan came out on top. Three of the top 10 were Hondas (Odyssey, Fit, Pilot) and four were Toyotas (RAV4, Sienna, Corolla, Highlander). The other three were the Scion XB and Nissan Sentra at No. 2 and 3, and the Mini Cooper Clubman at No. 7.
- 25 Years Young: Casa de las Campanas celebrated its 25th anniversary this week, and Assemblyman Brian Maienschein was on hand to present the senior community's executive director, Kim Dominy, with a special resolution. The community planned to mark the anniversary with a series of events this week, including an ice cream social, Murder Mystery Dinner and an outdoor concert, according to 92127 Magazine.
