- 8-to-1 Vote bans Ghost Guns. The law was originally proposed by council person Marni von Wilpert, who represents Rancho Bernardo at the council. Ghost guns, which can be purchased in kits, can be assembled in under 15 minutes. They are untraceable and have contributed to violent crime in our communities. The Eliminate Non-Serialized Untraceable Firearm (ENUF) ordinance will become law on Oct. 14. (nbcsandiego.com)
- San Diego County examines job impacts of decarbonization. As we move towards using less carbon, how will this affect jobs in our area? The county is working with several experts to determine the impact on our workforce. The Board of Supervisors should receive the report next year. The goal would be to mitigate job loss by providing opportunities for training to those most affected by this shift. (Press Release Desk)
