1. Our area is on alert! The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are investigating recent high-end burglaries in 4S Ranch and nearby locations. Burglars are targeting master bedrooms and closets, hoping to find jewelry, handbags, cash, and watches. 2. Hearing those helicopter announcements but not quite getting the message? Sheriff's ASTREA (helicopter) uses a loudspeaker when searching for a missing person or suspect, or during a SWAT standoff, disasters, crowd management events, or to give people a shelter-in-place notification.
