Arraignment Today For Woman Facing DUI, Hit and Run Charges
Police say the 21-year-old hit a motorcyclist and left the scene.

An arraignment for a woman accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Rancho Bernardo last weekend is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in a downtown courtroom.
Jessica Marie Bloom, 21, allegedly drove away from the crash scene Sunday but was arrested a short time later at her home, police said.
Police 35-year-old Dave Smith was riding east on Bernardo Center Drive near West Bernardo Drive about 12:30 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a woman driving a Chevy TrailBlazer. Smith, a gunnery sergeant stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with severe injuries.

Bloom was jailed on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury and hit-and-run causing injury.
