Burglars Slice Tent, Steal TV & Safe from Fumigated Rancho Bernardo Home

A Mantilla Road home undergoing fumigation has been burglarized in Rancho Bernardo, and police believe multiple people were involved.

A large TV and heavy safe went missing from a tented home on the 12600 block of Mantilla Road while the homeowners were away for the fumigation, according to a post on the San Diego Police Department Northeastern Divison's Facebook page.

According to the post, the unnamed company fumigating the home came to remove the tent on Monday and noticed that it had been cut. It appears the burglar, or burglars, cut the tent and broke a rear sliding glass door to get into the home, making off with a large TV and heavy safe.

"It is believed it would take more than one person to remove the stolen property," the post stated.
