County Seeks Input for Veteran Transition Program
County health officials are sponsoring a series of forums aimed at helping service members transition back into civilian life.

County health officials are sponsoring a series of forums aimed at helping service members transition back into civilian life, and they want to hear from you.
“The transition from military to civilian life can be challenging,” said Greg Cox, chairman of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, in a statement. “The County is working to ease that transition, especially when it comes to accessing services such as mental health resources.”
The forums will help officials learn more about the needs of veterans, active military, reservists, National Guard and Coast Guard to better develop the next phase of a 24-7 peer-to-peer support program run by veterans, for veterans called Courage to Call.
