- As a first time City Council member, Marni von Wilpert has not been on the dais once this past year as all meetings have been held on Zoom. However, she is proud of what she has accomplished. Von Wilpert is most proud of the ghost gun ordinance she authored that banned non-serialized untraceable firearms within the city. She is also proud of her work as co-chair of the City’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Committee. Issues addressed were reviving the tourist economy and getting financial assistance to residents behind on their rent so that their landlords got paid 100 percent of back rent.
