- With AB1400 to be voted on Tuesday by the State Assembly’s health care committee, nurses with the California Nurses Association conducted a car caravan through the downtown area on Saturday to support the California Guaranteed Health Care for All Act. California has 3.2 million residents without health insurance and 12 million unable to afford to use their insurance because of costly copays or deductibles. - The County of San Diego advises to get boosted, test only as necessary, and work from home if you can. Confirmed COVID-19 case rates are up to 45,000 cases — a tenfold increase in just 30 days. Hospitalizations have also more than doubled, putting a strain on local hospitals. Health care providers offer testing to their patients and many neighborhood pharmacies offer same day testing as well.
