- "The Great Catsby" fundraising event by Rescue Cats will be held at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo. The Saturday, Sept. 25 event promises to be lots of fun, and cat costumes are encouraged, but optional. Enjoy appetizers, dinner, and drinks, and participate in a silent auction. - Disaster plans are now available. The County’s Office of Emergency Services and Department of Aging & Independence Services have joined to provide a "Personal Disaster Plan for People Who May Need Assistance." Available in 13 languages, the guide was developed for older adults and people with access and functional needs who may need additional help to plan for disasters. The booklet is now available at local libraries as well as on ReadySanDiego.org. (County News Center)
