  1. Filner (Still) Under Fire: Mayor Bob Filner had many people thinking he was going to resign on Friday after seven women had come forward to accuse him of sexual harassment. But instead he said he's going to therapy. Talk of a recall is heating up, but there are some legal hiccups in the way.
  2. Check, Please: Just a reminder that the Employment Development Department's system is out of commission today, so checks for unemployment, disability and paid family leave will be delayed by at least a day this week.
  3. PQ Town Council to Meet: The Rancho Peñasquitos Town Council has a meeting coming up this Thursday. Stay tuned for the agenda.
  4. Back to School: It's not quite time yet, but with July wrapping up this week the countdown begins. Poway Unified schools on the traditional (not year-round) calendar begin classes on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
  5. Free Football: The Chargers have another free public practice this week from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Find out everything you need to know to go here.
