Here are the top stories today in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch:

  1. The Rancho Bernardo Community Planning Board (RBCPB) will vote on the location of the AT&T Monopine Cell Phone Tower at Swim & Tennis. The Development Review subcommittee voted unanimously to recommend to the full board not to approve the location of the cell tower (not the cell tower itself). The full RBCPB will be presented with the recommendation and then vote on the matter. The resulting recommendation from the full RBCPB will be sent to the City. However, it is ultimately up to the City of San Diego as to whether they will approve it or not. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (RB Planning Board)
  2. The Rancho Bernardo Veterans Memorial Association will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the RB Veterans Memorial at Webb Park. Col. John Valencia of the Marine Corps Reserve will be the guest speaker. It is suggested that attendees bring lawn chairs and blankets. Please have a safe and meaningful Veterans Day. The RB Veterans Memorial Association says thank you to all veterans and for many of these veterans, "welcome home." To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (The San Diego Union-Tribune)
  3. Affected by the coronavirus last spring, Rancho Bernardo girls water polo team is back! The Broncos, who outscored opponents 156-106, returns with a new coach, John-William Bryant. “We’re trying to build on what the girls had last year,” Bryant said. “We still have to find out where our strengths are, and what our weaknesses are, as soon as we can.” The Broncos will play three tournaments to pursue that goal.
