  1. Fourteen years after the fires, RB was awarded $2.5 million to improve the badly damaged roads in the fire affected area. Although promises were made to get the streets fixed, it never happened. It took our present Councilwoman Marni von Wilpert, working with Senator Toni Atkins, to finally get the grant to upgrade the damaged streets.   2. Protect yourself, your family, your neighbor, and your property. Get to know and work with your neighbors. Recognize and report crime and suspicious activities. Identify crime and disorder problems in your area and work with the San Diego Police Department to resolve the issues.
