  1. Father's conviction upheld in the RB condo fire. It was a very sad day in RB. Two children, a girl age 7, and a boy 10 years old, were killed in a fire on Oct. 28, 2017. The perpetrator: Henry Lopez, their father. On Monday, the appellate court panel upheld the father's conviction. (CBS News 8)
  2. Plea for COVID-19 vaccine: A beloved Ranch Bernardo grandfather has died of COVID-19. His daughter said her father had been vaccine-hesitant, that he thought the problem had been overblown by the media. She added that she and her mother had been vaccine-hesitant as well. They are now asking that residents get vaccinated. (10News)
  3. Steve Sugimoto (Rancho Bernardo High School) ties for fifth place in the Husky Invitational. He played in the San Diego State men's golf team Monday on the par-72, 7,155-yard Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club. Opening with a 4-under-par in the first round, Sugimoto came back for a 2-under 70 in the second 18. (SDSU Athletics)
