RB's On-Ramp Wireless Scores $15M New Venture Capital

On-Ramp Wireless, a Rancho Bernardo-based technology company, has raised another $15 million in venture capital from one new and two current investors.

"We are seeing significant growth opportunities from enterprises that want to monitor and manage their hardest to reach assets, irrespective of location,” CEO Kevin Hell, said in a statement. “Our technology can easily connect assets that have previously been unreachable, from oil and gas pipelines spanning hundreds of miles of harsh terrain to electrical transmission and distribution assets, both above and below ground. The Internet of Things is no longer just a vision for our customers."

New investor Enbridge, and current investors Third Wave Ventures and Energy Technology Ventures are contributing the additional $15 million, bringing On-Ramp's Series C round of fundraising to $31 million. The funding will be used to expand into new markets.

On-Ramp Wireless's office is located at 10920 Via Frontera in Rancho Bernardo.
