  1. The supply is lower than it has been in a decade. The need is for at least 10,000 donations per week to meet the current demand. The Red Cross is low on blood. If you can donate blood, now is the time to do so. Not only will you be helping someone in need, those who give blood by Nov. 12 will be entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to Hawaii.   2. Grants For 4S Ranch: Have a project that supports youth development? Need a grant to support it? If you are a nonprofit located in 4S Ranch, you may be eligible for a grant provided by the 4S Ranch-Del Sur Community Foundation. The project must support mental, academic, and social-emotional learning. It should also help alleviate stress caused by the pandemic. The application deadline is Dec. 20.   3. Live in Oaks North? Seven Oaks/the Remington Club? Or Bernardo Heights? If so, you might consider joining the Rancho Bernardo Community Council (RBCC). What does the RBCC do? Council members place flags on the medians on Rancho Bernardo Road, they orchestrate and work at the Halloween Carnival, the Safety Fair, the Fun Run 5K Race, the Earth Day Fair, and more.
