On February 8th, 2022, at about 11:24 pm, deputies from the San Marcos Station responded to an unknown injury traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the 1300 block of W Mission Rd., in the City of San Marcos. Upon arrival, deputies learned a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup collided with a pedestrian while traveling west on W Mission Rd. The 29-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and the 56-year-old male driver of the pickup did not sustain any injuries.
