Sheriff's Dept. Seeks Help in 4S Ranch Copper Theft Identity

Authorities said 7,500 feet of copper wire was stolen from 4S Ranch Community Park.

Sheriff's deputies asked for the public's help today to identify and find whoever is responsible for taking about 7,500 feet of copper wiring out of the lighting system at 4S Ranch Community Park.

The 10-gauge copper wiring was taken from the park at 16118 4S Ranch Parkway sometime between the evening of April 13 and the next morning, according to sheriff's detectives.

The suspects cut and took the wiring for the stadium and sidewalk lights from junction boxes, authorities said.

Sheriff's officials said it would cost more than $3,000 to replace the wiring and repair the damage.
