- September is Suicide Awareness Month – A free workshop will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4. Bishop Dolan will celebrate Mass for survivors of suicide loss at 5 p.m. All are welcome. San Rafael Parish 17252 Bernardo Center Drive, Rancho Bernardo (Times of San Diego)
- San Diego 9/11 Heroes Run coming to Rancho Bernardo High. The Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), will host the 5K race at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 at RB High School. The event will commemorate the Sept. 11 attacks and honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and in the wars since, as well as veterans, military, and first responders. Registration is now open for the 5K race. (Del Mar Times)
- Miss Rancho Bernardo and the RB High School band to participate in Poway Rotary Parade — On September 11 the Poway Rotary is set to honor community heroes with a parade beginning at 9 a.m. It is suggested that parade viewers bring lawn chairs, umbrellas and water. The parade will be live-streamed on the parade’s website, PowayRotaryParade.org. (The San Diego Union-Tribune)
