  1. SVP placement in RB — Residents gathered on Sunday to oppose the placement of a sexually violent predator in RB. In addition, the Rancho Bernardo Community Council will vote to approve a letter regarding the SVP placement at its Thursday, Oct. 7, Zoom meeting. Citizens can appear in Superior Court on Oct. 29 to comment. In addition, residents can write their representatives and others to voice their views.   2. Driver slams car into home — A woman slammed her car into the garage of her Rancho Bernardo home. The woman was uninjured. However, a water heater was damaged, causing a gas leak. A city building inspector was brought in to decide whether or not the house was safe for the owner's return. (California News Times)
