- The signage is up between the Library and the Kaiser Center in RB. There has been no word on when San Diego Oasis is coming to RB. It remains a mystery. However, one would expect that Oasis will be coming into the community very soon. Not familiar with Oasis? Its purpose is to serve older adults through lifelong learning, health, and volunteering. According to its website: "Oasis works to prevent isolation and loneliness in older adults (50+) so they can stay healthy, engaged and involved in the world." They offer classes in-person and online, offer entertainment and events, trips and off-site adventures, and they provide an opportunity to mentor children in our community through their intergenerational tutoring program. - Girl Scout Troop 2927 and Scouts BSA Troop 681 worked alongside Kiwanians in Rancho Bernardo to assemble 120 dinner boxes for Camp Pendleton's Wounded Warrior Battalion West members and their families. The Battalion provides support to ill and injured Marines and Sailors attached to Marine units. Their efforts help service men and women to return to duty or transition to civilian life.
