90 Degree Heat Could Hit Redondo Beach Through Friday: NWS

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Redondo Beach locals could watch temperatures rise up to 90 degrees this week, according to the National Weather Service.

An excessive heat watch is underway from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon for the Los Angeles County Coast, including Downtown Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley. Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Long Beach, Woodland Hills, Northridge, Burbank, Universal City, Pasadena, San Gabriel and Pomona are expected to see dangerously high temperatures.

Here's the forecast this week for Redondo Beach:

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 76. West northwest wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. West southwest wind around 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 81. North northeast wind around 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Northwest wind around 10 mph becoming north northeast in the evening.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
