CHP Vehicle Damaged in Crash; Driver Arrested
The crash occurred at about 3 a.m. on Inglewood Avenue in North Redondo Beach.

A California Highway Patrol cruiser was damaged in a three-vehicle crash in Redondo Beach on Wednesday morning, and while no one was injured, a driver was arrested at the scene, authorities said.
The crash happened at 3 a.m. on Inglewood Avenue just east of the 405 (San Diego) Freeway, said CHP Officer A. Rubio.
Two CHP officers had just made a traffic stop when a vehicle slammed into the stopped vehicle, sending it into the cruiser, according to the CHP.

The cruiser sustained moderate to major damage, according to the CHP, which reported that the officers were not inside the patrol car when it was hit.
The arrested driver was taken to a hospital for a mandatory medical clearance prior to be being booked, Rubio said.

It was unclear what possible charges the driver was facing, he said.
