City to Celebrate Memorial Day at Park
Redondo Beach will commemorate Memorial Day at the new veterans memorial at Veterans Park.
The annual Redondo Beach Memorial Day Tribute will take place May 30 at 1 p.m. at the new memorial in , according to the city's website.
The event's program, which is sponsored by the city, the Veterans Memorial Task Force and Elks Lodge No. 1378, "will honor the ultimate sacrifice of service of Veterans of all America's wars," the website notes.
After the event, the Elks will host a barbecue picnic. The picnic is free to all veterans and active military personnel; however, organizers ask that all other attendees donate $5.
