REDONDO BEACH, CA — A police investigation into a "suspicious device" prompted road closures in the northern part of Redondo Beach Monday morning.

Details were limited, but police asked people Monday morning to avoid the area of Ruhland and Vorhees avenues between Rindge Lane. The area is just north of Artesia Boulevard.

It's unclear exactly what the suspicious device is. A spokesperson with the Redondo Beach Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for more information from Patch.
