Man Said He Was Shot in Redondo Beach, Police Found No Evidence of Shooting

The victim was not able to pinpoint the location, so police were using landmarks to find the where the possible shooting happened.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- A South Bay man who drove himself to the hospital Tuesday morning told investigators that he was possibly shot in Redondo Beach but police were not able to find evidence a shooting had occurred.

Redondo Beach Police Department closed off a stretch of Catalina Avenue around 190th Street for several hours starting around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to comb the scene and look through security footage but they did not find any evidence of a shooting, police said.

The shooting supposedly happened around 3 a.m. but there were no reports in Redondo Beach or in the nearby cities of any shooting.
