Many in Redondo Beach Much Still Not Sold on Waterfront Redevelopment
Many in the city are opposing the project because of the congestion the new development may bring.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Even though the Redondo Beach City Council tentatively approved the lease with CenterCal for the waterfront makeover, many in the city are still apprehensive about it, according to ABC7.
The $400-million development will bulldoze over much of the current development to make way for shops, restaurant, a movie theater and boutique hotel.
"Our goal is to make the Redondo Beach waterfront the gathering place for the citizens of the South Bay and especially for the residents of Redondo Beach," CenterCal Properties' Fred Bruning told ABC7.
