Missing Girl, 12, Last Seen In South Bay: CHP
The girl was last seen on Wednesday in Gardena, according to authorities.
GARDENA, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a 12-year-old girl who was last seen in Gardena Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol, which put out an alert on behalf of the Gardena Police Department, said Kaela Layaoen was last seen around 9 a.m. in the area of West El Segundo and Crenshaw boulevards. It's unclear where Layaoen may be headed, but authorities say she is believed to be on foot.
Layaoen was last seen wearing a pink and blue spider sweatshirt and blue jeans, authorities said. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 110 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.

The CHP asks that anyone with information on the 12-year-old's whereabouts call 911.
