TORRANCE, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an at-risk woman who was last seen in the South Bay on Monday.

Lavonta Brown, 30, was last seen in the 100 block of West Carson Street in Torrance, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Brown suffers from a mental disorder, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which said the 30-year-old's family is concerned for her well-being.

Deputies described the 30-year-old as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 167 pounds, authorities said. She has brown eyes and black hair, and has a tattoo on the right side of her neck. She was last seen wearing an olive green shirt and dark colored pants, according to authorities.

The LASD asks that anyone who sees Brown or knows about her whereabouts contact the authorities at 323-890-5500.
