A motorcyclist was fatally injured Tuesday in a collision with a car in Torrance.
The 23-year-old man died at a hospital of injuries he suffered about 7 a.m. at Skypark Drive and Garnier Street, said Torrance police Lt. Stephen D'anjou. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
The man was riding a 2005 Yamaha R1 motorcycle west on Skypark Drive when it collided with a 2005 Toyota Camry that was eastbound on Skypark Drive and turning left onto Garnier Street, D'anjou said.

The car was driven by a 59-year-old woman, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Her name was not released.
Anyone with information on the crash was urged to call the police traffic division at 310-618-5557.
