Armed Robbery Suspect Search Underway In Redondo Beach: Police

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Authorities have shut down roads in Redondo Beach Friday afternoon during a search for an armed suspect.

The search is underway on North Harbor Drive, near Marina Way and Portofino Way, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

The suspect is believed to be in the area and various nearby streets remain closed during the search, police said.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, 6 feet tall, with an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket or hoodie.

No further suspect information or description was immediately released.

Residents were urged to "please report any suspicious persons to Redondo Beach Police Communications at (310) 379-5411 or dial 9-1-1."
