Redondo Beach Looking To Divorce From Chamber Of Commerce
The city is looking to end an eight-year marketing contract with the Chamber worth upward of $700,000.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Redondo Beach is looking to end a long-standing marketing contract with the Chamber of Commerce and sending it out for bids, the Daily Breeze reported.
Currently, the Chamber's Visitors Bureau receives 10 percent of the hotel tax revenue, which is now more than $700,000 a year. The City Council voted Wednesday to negotiate a transitional contract with the goal of splitting the Visitors Bureau functions from the Chamber, according to the Daily Breeze.
The city is also exploring the option sending the marketing contract out for bids or creating a tourism improvement district, according to the Daily Breeze.
